Arbitration Committee

The Arbitration Committee of the ICC Israel National Committee, established in March 2024, serves as the focal point for advancing and promoting international arbitration practices within Israel. Aligned with the International Chamber of Commerce's (ICC) mission to facilitate global trade and investment, the committee actively engages Israeli businesses, legal practitioners, and stakeholders in adopting and implementing effective dispute resolution mechanisms.

Key Functions of the Arbitration Committee:

  • Policy Development: The committee collaborates with the ICC's global network to develop and refine policies that enhance the arbitration framework in Israel, ensuring alignment with international standards and best practices.

  •  Educational Initiatives: Through organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences, the committee educates the Israeli business and legal communities about the benefits and procedures of ICC arbitration, fostering a deeper understanding of international dispute resolution.

  • Nomination of Arbitrators:  In coordination with the ICC International Court of Arbitration, the committee proposes qualified Israeli professionals to serve as arbitrators, enhancing the representation of Israeli expertise in international arbitration proceedings.

Consultation and Support:

The committee provides guidance to Israeli entities on navigating the ICC arbitration process, offering insights and resources to effectively manage cross-border disputes.   The committee is chaired by Ms. Nuna Lerner, who assumed this role upon its establishment. Under her leadership, the committee continues to advance and promote international arbitration practices within Israel, aligning with the International Chamber of Commerce's mission to facilitate global trade and investment. By fulfilling these roles, the Arbitration Committee of the ICC Israel National Committee plays a pivotal role in integrating Israeli arbitration practices into the global arena, thereby supporting the country's economic growth and international business relationships.
